Richard Filcak

Biography

Richard has extensive experience as a researcher, leader, manager and coordinator of research, development and evaluation projects. His work and interests are mainly in the intersections of environmental and social policy development - with particular attention to foresight and systemic change. He worked on decarbonisation strategies, financing, evaluation and social and territorial exclusion projects, and studied exposure to environmental risks, access to resources and vulnerability of the people. He worked as a Senior Expert for the Slovak Government for the planning and evaluating cohesion policies, Recovery and Resilience Plan, DNSH and project evaluation in the environmental/energy sector. He was a lecturer at the Comenius University Bratislava, regularly delivers public lectures and is an experienced meeting facilitator and mediator. He authored several books and many articles in various professional journals. He worked as an external consultant for the European Commission, UNDP, European Environmental Bureau and other organisations.
