Biography

Thiago H Silva is a Professor of Computer Science at the Universidade Tecnológica Federal do Paraná at Curitiba, Brazil. He holds an M.Sc. (2009) and a Ph.D. (2014) in Computer Science from the Federal University of Minas Gerais, where he was also a post-doctoral researcher in urban computing (2014-2015). From 2019 to 2021, he was a Visiting Professor at the University of Toronto. Dr. Silva was a research intern at Telecom Italia, Italy (2011). He was also a visiting student at the University of Birmingham, UK (2012), and at INRIA, France (2013). He has substantial experience in the industry and academia in urban computing, data mining/machine learning, and user behavior modeling.
