Biography

A/Prof. Alessandro Castorina is an academic and neuroscientist.
His teaching experience spans from Gross Anatomy, Visceral Anatomy, Musculoskeletal Anatomy, Neuroanatomy and Neuroscience.
Research is focussed on investigating the pathogenic mechanisms responsible for the development of neurodegenerative diseases and study the mode of action of new/old drugs that can reduce the inflammatory burden.
A/Prof. Castorina is heavily involved in editorial activities for several international reputable journals, including IJMS, Cells, NRR, Journal of Molecular Neuroscience and Frontiers in Endocrine Science and Frontiers in Pharmacology.
