Biography
Heike Bartsch received her diploma degree in precision engineering in 1994. Her research interest has developed along the lines of micromechanics and fluidic systems. One major topic in her career was the development of glass structuring methods and the implementation of functional materials. After joining a start-up, she returned to the university in 2005 and obtained her Ph.D. in 2009. Currently, she is a post-doc researcher at the Institute of Micro- and Nanotechnologies MacroNano, an interdisciplinary facility of TU Ilmenau. Her research interests are focused on advanced micro-structuring methods for ceramic green tapes, thick film sensor applications, advanced packaging, heterogeneous systems, and Bio-MEMS. She moves between the lines of material science and system integration, considering new innovative trends in electronic and sensor technology.
