Biography
I am a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Radiation Physics at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, where my research focuses on improving radiotherapy by targeting DNA repair deficiencies. My background encompasses experimental and molecular pathology, biochemistry, and toxicology. Currently, I am investigating how combining photon and proton radiation with DNA polymerase theta inhibitors can enhance radiosensitization and stimulate an immune response. Additionally, I am exploring the potential of combining immune checkpoint inhibitors with DNA polymerase theta inhibitors and radiation to address significant challenges in radiation research, specifically in overcoming resistance to both radiotherapy and immunotherapy.
