Biography

Dr. Xiaowei Wu is a Principal Investigator at the Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica (SIMM), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), and the Zhongshan Institute for Drug Discovery, SIMM, CAS. He earned his Ph.D. in 2017 from SIMM. From 2017 to 2021, he pursued postdoctoral research at the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute and Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Wu's primary research focuses on the development of novel small-molecule therapeutics for the treatment of cancer, viral infections, and neuropsychiatric disorders. Additionally, he is interested in designing green and practical methodologies for the synthesis of drug-like heterocycles.
