Biography

Civil Engineer graduated from USP-São Carlos with a Master's and PhD in Structural Engineering from the same institution. He coordinated the FAPESP Research Project in the Young Researcher in an Emerging Center modality from 2001 to 2005. He is an Associate Professor and researcher at the State University of Maringá. He works in the area of research in numerical analysis of Steel and Steel-Concrete Composite Structures using the Finite Element Method (ABAQUS). He was a Professor and Advisor of the Postgraduate Program in Urban Engineering (PEU) at UEM from 2009 to 2019. He has been a Professor and Advisor of the Postgraduate Program in Civil Engineering (PCV) at UEM since 2013 and of the Postgraduate Program in Engineering Civil Engineering (PPGECiv) at the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar) since 2021. He was the Coordinator of the Undergraduate Course in Civil Engineering at UEM from 2014 to 2018 and the Postgraduate Program in Civil Engineering (PCV) at UEM in 2019. He participated in several national and international conferences and published more than 94 articles in Journals and more than 200 works in national and international congresses. He is a reviewer for several journals in Structures. He has coordinated more than 20 Research Projects with and without funding. He has supervised over 70 Course Completion Projects, 63 Scientific Initiation, 30 Master's Degrees, 4 PhDs, and 2 Post-Doctorates. He also works as an Undergraduate Course Evaluator and Institutional Evaluator of the BASIS/INEP system and BIPE (International Bank of Peer Evaluators for evaluating Courses in Mercosur. He was the coordinator of the MARCA Program (Mercosur Academic Mobility) of the Arcusul (Mercosur) from 2014 to 2020. He is an evaluator of civil engineering courses by the Special Commission for the Evaluation of Higher Education of the State Education System of Paraná of SETI (Secretariat of Science, Technology and Higher Education of the State of Paraná). He prepares and revises items for the National Item Bank (BNI) of ENADE for civil engineering courses. He was a Research Productivity Fellow at the Araucária Foundation of the State of Paraná from 2014 to 2016. He was a Member of the Area Advisory Committee in the Engineering area of the Araucária Foundation Research of the State of Paraná from 2017 to 2020. He was the advisor for the undergraduate works that won the Sinduscon Academic Award in 2016 and 2018 and the advisor for 3rd place in the CBCA Award in Sustainable Structures in 2023. He was Director of Academic Affairs (DAA) at the State University of Maringá from 2020 to 2022. He has been a CNPQ Research Productivity Fellow since 2021. He is currently the Director of Postgraduate Studies (DPG ) at the State University of Maringá. It has an index h14 on Web of Science, an index h15 on Scopus, and an index h18 on Google Scholar.
