Biography
Syeda Tahreem received BS and MS in Electrical Engineering from University of Engineering & Technology (U.E.T) , Taxila, Pakistan. She possesses over three years of academic experience during which she has served various positions in different universities of pakistan including Heavy Industry Taxila Education City (HITEC) University, Taxila. Her current research interests include smart girds operation, DC-DC converters, Power system analysis & High Voltage Engineering.
She is a Doctoral Research Fellow with Dr. Syed Kashif Imdad (HEC Approved PhD Supervisor) at HITEC University, Taxila and currently doing research on High Voltage Engineering.
Currently, she is working as Lecturer at Faculty of Engineering & Applied Sciences (FEAS), Riphah International University, Islamabad. She is currently teaching Power System Engineering related core courses like Power Generation Systems etc and also conducted Labs at UG Level including Power System Analysis, Power Transmission System, Power Distribution & Utilization, Power Electronics and Network Analysis. She was also working as Visiting Lecturer at Northern Consortium United Kingdom (NCUK)|Riphah,where she has taught “Energy Transport and conversion” course at International year one.
Previously, she was a Research Assistant at HITEC University, Taxila, where she has conducted “Electronics Devices & Circuits Lab” and Engaged in research activities with Dr. Syed Kashif Imdad to assist in proposal and presentations formulation for National ICT (R&D) funded research project, “High Frequency Modeling of Transformer” and took active part in selecting economical and suitable equipment for High Voltage Lab. She is a Registered Engineer (Life Time Member) of Pakistan Engineering Council, Islamabad, Pakistan.
