Biography

Gerry Ryder has significant experience spanning multiple aspects of information and research data management (RDM). Key activities and achievements include:

-developing and nuturing Communities of Practice around RDM
-contributing to the development of metadata standards to describe research data and software used in research
-contributing to the development of data and software citation best practice
-contributing to the development of data and software versioning best practice
-championing the use of identifiers to uniquely identify people, data, software and research objects (eg rock specimens)
-contributing to the delivery of research infrastructure projects.
