Biography

Jacinta Pinho holds a Ph.D. in Pharmacy, specialty Pharmaceutical Technology, awarded by the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Lisboa. Currently, she is a researcher at the Institute of Biomedicine (iBiMED), University of Aveiro, under the project Edu4OneHealth, focused on the veterinarian use of antimicrobials and antimicrobial resistance.

During the 4-year PhD program, Jacinta developed lipid-based nanosystems for the incorporation of compounds with anticancer potential, acquiring extensive experience in preclinical studies of drug candidates. She has worked as a postdoc researcher at the Research Institute for Medicines (iMed.ULisboa) under a project financed by the Phospholipid Research Centre. Her research interests focus on drug delivery systems, preclinical evaluation of drug candidates, and medical writing.

Jacinta holds a specialization in Regulatory Affairs & Technical Direction and a certification in Laboratory Animal Science, FELASA Category B. She is a member of the European Medical Writers Association (EMWA) and Associação Portuguesa de Medical Writers (APMW).

Jacinta has published 2 book chapters and 22 articles in scientific journals indexed to SCOPUS and ISI web of knowledge. She has also presented several communications at international and national conferences and often collaborates as a reviewer for scientific journals.
