Biography
Monika Ewa ADAMSKA: Ph.D in Architecture, D.Sc., Associate Professor. Head of the Department of Architecture and Urban Planning at the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture of the Opole University of Technology. Graduated from the Wrocław University of Science and Technology in 1989. She obtained her PhD in Architecture in 2006, followed by her habilitation in 2020. Research grants from the Herder Institute for Historical Research on East Central Europe in Marburg (2015, 2016) and the Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation in Berlin (2017, 2022). Member of Association of Polish Architects SARP, Society of Polish Town Planners TUP, ISUFPolska. She is an author of 2 books and over 50 scientific publications and studies promoting science. Research interests focus on the European architecture and urban planning from the 18th century to the present day with particular attention to the Silesia region and its historic towns.
