Biography

Dr. S. Nadaraja Pillai , has completed his B.E (Aeronautical Engineering) from Park College of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore under Bharathiar University in the year 2002. He started his research as M.S (By Research) Scholar in Madras Institute of Technology in 2002 and graduated from Master degree in 2004. He continued his research in Wind Engineering Research Centre, Tokyo Polytechnic University under the Centre of Excellence Program, sponsored by Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT), Japan and graduated with PhD degree in the year 2007. He continued his research as Post Doctoral Fellow in Global Centre of Excellence supported by MEXT, Japan too.

Dr. Pillai, has published 70 International/ National papers and attended more than 10 Workshops and Seminars as a Resource Person in the last five years. He ranked No.2 Innovator in Vestas MyIdea Program (2009), Winner of India's best video lecture contest (2013).

He is currently the Executive member of Aeronautical Society of India, Chennai Chapter, Also he is the Life member, Indian Society for Wind Engineering (ISWE),

He teaches subjects like Aerodynamics, Gas Dynamics, Aircraft Performance, Stability and Control, Wind Tunnel Techniques, Computational Fluid Dynamics, Hypersonic Aerodynamics etc., and do research in the above areas.

Dr. Pillai is currently working as Professor of Aerospace Engineering in School of Mechanical Engineering, SASTRA Deemed University.
