Ammar T. Zahary

Biography

Ammar Zahary (Ph.D, IEEE Senior Member, E-Learning Lecturer Certified) received B.Eng in Electronics and Electrical Communication Engineering from Cairo University, Egypt, in 1997, and the MSc in Computer Engineering from University of Science and Technology, Yemen, in 2001. He received his P.hD in Data Communication and Networking from De Montfort University, UK, in 2008. He is currently an Associate Professor of Data Communication and Networking, and the dean of E-Learning, University of Science and Technology, Sana'a, Yemen. In addition, he is currently an editorial board member and technical committee member and a reviewer in many esteemed journals with ISI and Scopus Q1and Q2 journals such as IEEE Access, CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Frontiers of Internet of Things, and Emerald Library High Tech. He has many published research articles in high quality journals (h-index=11, Scopus h-index = 8). His research interest is oriented to Internet of Things and Cyber Security, MANETs, VANETs, Cloud and Fog Computing, Mobile Edge Computing, and Artificial Intelligence. Furthermore, he supervised on many Master and PhD theses. Finally, he is one of the founders of IEEE Yemen Subsection and the first elected chair of the subsection from November 2018 until December 2023. Now, he is the elected vice chair of IEEE Yemen Subsection until December 2024.
