Biography
In 2020, I graduated from the University of Geneva with a Master’s Degree in Neuroscience. Under the supervision of Dr Eva R. Pool and Prof. David Sander, my master's thesis focused on investigating the underlying neural circuitry of wanting and liking in humans and developing new neuroimaging tools for high resolution fMRI.
In the course of my Bachelor in Psychology, I worked as a research assistant in the Cognitive Psychology group of the University of Geneva where I assisted Dr Nicolas Burra in the collection and processing of EEG data. Moreover, I conducted a research project on attentional capture by threatening stimuli in the Spatial Cognition Lab of Prof. Wraga, at Smith College.
Currently, I am conducting a PhD thesis in Neuroscience under the supervision of Prof. Géraldine Coppin and Prof. David Sander. The aim of this thesis is to investigate the neural underpinnings of obesity-related alterations in wanting and liking to achieve a better understanding of the reward mechanisms in relation to food addiction.
