Biography

Ph.D. in Molecular Virology in 2011 at University of Zurich, Switzerland – working in various Viral Vectors, for Gene Therapy (Trinh et al., 2012 and 2014). Upon completion of Ph.D study and postdoctoral training in Zurich, I had further training as a Postdoctoral fellow at School of Medicine and School of Public Health, Johns Hopkins University where I conducted research in malaria vaccine development (transmission blocking vaccine) and Retrovirus Pathogenesis over a year. With the passion working in vaccine and clinical research, I moved to Water Reed Army Institute of Research (Department of Defense) in Silver Spring, MD since July, 2013. Since then to now, I have either participated or led many projects including Process Development, pre-clinical studies and clinical trials (phase I, II and III) of the program in HIV, Malaria and bacteria vaccine development. Furthermore, I have led teams of Analytical (HPLC, LC-MS/MS) and Immunoassay assessment (Trinh el al., Cells 2019) from pre-clinical studies to clinical trials (phase I, II and III). Furthermore, I have in deep knowledge in regulatory compliance of FDA, EMA, ICH and USP for analytical development, validation. Currently, I hold certifications in GCLP, GCP and cGMP.
