Biography
Yong Wang received his BS degree from Xiangtan University and his PhD degree from Zhejiang University. After a postdoctoral stay at the Department of Chemistry, Zhejiang University, he joined the Max Planck Institute for Colloids and Interfaces in Potsdam/Germany in 2009. He rejoined Zhejiang University and became a Professor for Chemistry in 2011. He is the co-author of 40 patents and over 140 journal articles with over 14,000 citations.
Professor Wang’s research group, advanced materials and catalysis group (AMCG), has been focusing its efforts on the basic science and applied research for the design and development of heterogeneous catalysis, energy storage, and energy conversion carbon based materials. They strive to pursue green energy technologies and the beautiful fundamental science that make these technologies a reality.
