Biography

OKWU, Andy Titus is an Associate Professor of Economics, Veronica Adeleke School of Social Sciences, Babcock University, Ilihan-Remo, Nigeria. He is about to complete a PhD in Economics from Onabisi Olabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye, Nigeria (2025), and holds a PhD in Business Administration from Babcock University (2013). He won the University of South Africa (UNISA) Postdoctoral Research Fellowship in 2014. He anticipates to be appointed a Full Professor in 2026. He has vast research experience and expertise as evidenced by his numerous publications reputable scholarly peer-reviewed. His commitment to excellence in research and mentorship has greatly benefited both students and colleagues at Babcock University, Nigeria. His research scope is broad and cuts across interdisciplinary, encompassing economics, business, financial markets, digital economy, entrepreneurship, and climate. His current research interests are on: (i) Mediating role of institutional structure in foreign financial flows-economic growth nexus in sub-Sahara Africa. (ii) Digital economy and economic performance. (iii) Climate change, environmental sustainability, and food security. He has successfully supervised 2 Ph.D. theses, 1 MPhil, and more than 12 M.
