Biography

Dr Little is a Senior Research Fellow with the Paediatric Spine Research Group, a collaborative research group with members from both QUT and the Mater Children’s Hospital in Brisbane. Dr Little’s expertise is in computational modelling for biomedical applications and she has extensive experience in the application of engineering and mathematical simulation techniques, modelling of physiological systems and mechanical characterization of biological tissues.

Dr Little’s research is in the field of Biomedical Engineering, with specific interest in:
* Spine biomechanics
* Adolescent idiopathic scoliosis biomechanics – diagnosis, progression and surgical treatment
* Hip biomechanics
* Cancer mechano-biology and computational modelling
* Finite element analysis of the musculoskeletal system
