Biography
Dr. Elif Emir Öksüz holds the position of Assistant Professor within the Department of Psychology at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt university. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Hacettepe University, followed by a Counseling and Guidance masters degree from Hacettepe University and Mental Health Counseling masters degree from Xavier University. Subsequently she completed her Doctorate at the University of Cincinnati, specializing in Counselor Education with a focus on Multicultural/Social Justice Counseling. Her primary research pursuits encompass a diverse array of topics, including disability training in counseling and psychology, the experiences of women with disabilities, counseling and psychotherapy within underserved and marginalized communities, community and minority mental health. Dr. Emir Öksüz is also a certified practitioner in Reality Therapy.
