From 2014 to 2017, she did a Postdoctorate at the Advanced Center for Chronic Diseases (FONDAP-ACCDIS), where she explored the possible association between the consumption of dietary aflatoxins and gallbladder cancer. She currently leads the Food Safety Research Line of the Agro-Food, Animal and Environmental Institute (ICA3) of the University of O’Higgins (UOH). Her current projects involve mycotoxin analyses in food and population (biomarkers), pesticide and bacterial analysis in vegetables and honey, and exposure and risk assessment of food hazards.
Her goals are to achieve a food hazard monitoring system in the O'Higgins region at the service of public and private entities that benefit food producers in the region and to generate risk assessments for policymaking in food safety.
