Biography

EREMIAH SAMUEL ALUWONG
Jeremiah was born in hails from Kagoro, Kaura Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Nigeria. He was born to the family of Dr. and Mrs. Samuel Waje Aluwong (both of blessed memory). He had his primary school education at Kaduna Capital School, Kaduna, then proceeded to the Federal Government College, Malali, Kaduna for his secondary education. He holds a Bachelors’ degree in Agricultural Economics and Rural Sociology from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. He also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Theological Studies from Jos, ECWA Theological Seminary, and a Masters of Art in Theology and Pastoral Studies from ECWA Theological Seminary Kagoro. In addition to a Masters’ of Science in Agricultural Extension and Rural Development, He currently is a Ph.D. candidate of Christian Theology and Public Policy at the, Department of Theological studies, ECWA Theological Seminary, Kagoro. Jeremiah is also a Ph.D. candidtate of Sociology of Religion, in the Department of Religion and Philosophy, at the University of Jos, Nigeria.
Jeremiah has been in the classroom for over 12 years and has taught at both basic and tertiary levels. He is currently a Lecturer and Head of Department, Department of Agricultural Extension and Management, School of Agricultural Technology, Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic, Zaria.
Jeremiah has been into active missions and discipleship evangelism for two decades, active service in the academia for a decade and half a decade of full time pastoral work. He is a member of different professional bodies such as Farm Managers Association of Nigeria (FAMAN) and Agricultural Educators and Teachers Association of Nigeria (AETAN), has attended sevral conferences and has multiple journal publications both locally and internationally.
A devout Christian, Jeremiah, is Chairman, Board of Trustees at Light Walk and Work Mission International an International Mission Organization that ‘Go, Promote, and Train’ young missionaries. He is the Project Team Lead at the Light Center; a recovery and skill acquisition center for drug dealers, addicts, abusers, delinquents and the ostracized of the society, with a non-pharmacological, bio-psychosocial, Christological approach to recovery therapy. He is also the Chaplain at The Chapel of Light, as well as the Head of Missions and Lead Director at LightWk.
He is married to one wife, Timatt and blessed with children.
