Biography

Robin Clark gained a BSc(Eng) (1st Class Honours) Degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1986 from University College, London; where he continued his studies graduating with a PhD in Mechanical Engineering in 1990. He later gained an MBA from Western Connecticut State University in 2003. Robin worked as a professional engineer in the UK and USA from 1990-2003, working his way up to the position of Company Director. Moving to Higher Education in 2003, Robin is now one of the UK's leading internationally recognised and respected Engineering Educators & Educational Researchers. He is currently employed as Director of Education at WMG, the University of Warwick. The depth and breadth of his knowledge and experience are reflected in his professional portfolio and publications

A Chartered Engineer, Robin is a Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers and a member of several other professional organizations including the Chartered Management Institute. A founding member and Chair of the UK & Ireland Engineering Education Research Network (EERN), Robin has steered the EERN from its embryonic beginning whereby it had less than 20 members to its current position as an international professional network with just under 300 members. He is a Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a National Teaching Fellow.
