Biography
I hold a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences specializing in Marine Biology from IB-CLP UNESP. During my undergraduate studies, I engaged in scientific research, consistently receiving scholarships, where I gained hands-on experience with various techniques, including High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) and Mass Spectrometry. I also participated in extension projects and administrative roles (student council and campus governance) over the four years.
As part of my academic journey, I completed an exchange program in Évora, Portugal, where I contributed to a significant project on enzyme inhibition, resulting in the publication of an international research article.
I pursued a Master's degree focused on the inhibition of the human PRX2 enzyme and its activity in cancer cells, funded by FAPESP. This program involved the development of techniques for DNA manipulation, protein studies, and natural inhibitors.
I completed an Interdisciplinary Ph.D. in Sciences at UNIFESP - Baixada Santista, evaluating the economic potential of natural dyes extracted from Juçara, utilizing green solvents, and exploring nanoencapsulation and 3D printing of food products. Currently, I am conducting a postdoctoral study using the same anthocyanin extract from my doctoral research, investigating its effects on obese mice with promissing results.
