Biography
Tamara Galoyan is an Assistant Research Professor at Drexel University's School of Education. She was previously employed as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Utah's College of Education. She earned her Ph.D. in Educational Leadership & Learning Technologies (STEM Concentration) from Drexel University. She serves as Co-Director and Co-Founder of E-LaBS (Education, Learning, and Brain Sciences) research collaborative, and Co-Founding Editor of EViE (Emerging Voices in Education) journal at Drexel University. Tamara holds a Master’s degree in TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) from the American University of Armenia and a Master’s degree in Linguistics from the Yerevan State Linguistic University. Her broader research interests focus on STEM education, Learning Sciences, online/distance education, adaptive learning, Cognitive Load Theory, transfer of learning, and neuroeducation. Tamara has more than a decade of experience in teaching, course development, assessment and testing, instructional design, curriculum development, training, and mentoring.
