Biography

Pegah Mohammadpour is a PhD student and researcher at the University of Coimbra (PhD in Mechanical Engineering) and the University of Alcala (PhD in Geography Information Technology), doing a joint-degree doctorate. She did BSc and MSc in Aerospace Engineering. Currently, she is working on Forest and Fuel Management aimed at fire risk mitigation by using remote sensing data. Her PhD title is Forest Vegetation Mapping by Fusion of optical, radar and Lidar satellite Data for Fuel Management and Wildfire Risk Reduction which is financially granted to her by FCT - Foundation for Science and Technology. In her previous program, she was particularly interested in Experimental and Computational Fluid Dynamics, FSI, Fire Dynamics and Safety, FDS, Wind Turbine, Satellite Technology, Image Processing, Plasma Actuators, Flow Control, and its mechanical and aerospace applications.
