Biography

Amr ELDEMIRY is a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Building and Real Estate, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. The research topic of his Ph.D. was "Exploration strategies for high-quality indoor mapping using autonomous mobile robots". He got his Ph.D. degree in May 2023. He received his MSc in Geomatics from Geomatics Engineering, Public Works Department, Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University, Egypt. He also received his bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the Civil Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University, Egypt. Currently, his research work focuses on Autonomous Mobile Robots, Simultaneous Localization and mapping systems (SLAM), Autonomous Exploration, and Path Planning.
