Biography

Dr. Asik Hossain studied Chemistry at the University of Calcutta (B.Sc. in 2013) and Indian Institute of Technology, Madras (M.Sc. in 2015). During his M.Sc., he conducted research in the group of Prof. Indrapal Singh Aidhen for one year. Afterward, he moved to Germany for Ph.D. studies under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Oliver Reiser at the University of Regensburg and obtained Ph.D. with the highest distinction 'summa cum laude' in 2019. He was named as one of the finalists for the Reaxys Ph.D. Prize in the year 2020 by Elsevier. In December 2020 he has joined the research group of Prof. Gregory C. Fu at the California Institute of Technology (USA) as a DFG Postdoctoral Research Fellow.
