Biography
Shin Yoshizawa received Bachelor’s (1999) and Master’s (2001) degrees in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Aizu, Japan. In 2006, he received a Doktor-Ingenieur degree from Saarland University, Germany, that was based on his PhD fellowship (2002–2006) at the Max-Planck-Institut fĂ¼r Informatik, Germany. In 2007, he joined RIKEN, where he has been a senior scientist since 2013. His current research interests include fast image filters, extraction and analysis of curvature-based geometric and topological features, and variational shape modeling.
