Open Science - Innovative Pedagogical Practices, Educational Resources and Open Data. Education mediated by Technology, Production and Design of Educational Content, Health Information Systems, Project Management, Biomedical Computing.

Research Interests
Open and Distance Education - involves the study on open access to education and training, offering flexible learning opportunities to individuals and groups of learners. A deeper view at the hybrid and hybrid-flexible environments and approaches.

Technological assisted instruction and Social Technologies - involves the study of the educational needs of population groups in school and non-school environments, the development of new media to support face-to-face, open and distance education and the assessment of the impacts of technology use on educational services. Research and development of applications that support and massively benefit the digital inclusion of different population groups and, consequently, help in improving their living conditions. This research line is in accordance with the policies and guidelines of the Brazilian Ministry of Education and linked to Agenda 2030 (SDG 3 and 4).

Project management - Special attention to scope, budget and quality. The focus is on adverse events.
Risk Management is one of the most recent issues in project management and its evolution in the academic field is associated with the uncertainties of the Project Development Environment and the treatment of problems. Our interest in this topic stems from our research on the use of metrics and new methods to assess risk management practices and presents an approach to address, model and use the risk management process for multiple projects.

Connect Health - This research interest is related to the development of an information system which supports medical diagnosis using computational intelligence in mobile devices as well as education solutions.
