Biography

Matthew Lemberger-Truelove is a Professor of Counselor Education at the University of North Texas and Associate Director of the Center for School Counseling Outcome Research and Evaluation at the University of Massachusetts. He is the outgoing Editor of the Journal of Counseling and Development (flagship journal for the American Counseling Association), inaugural editor of Counseling Scholarship & Practice in Educational Communities, and Fellow of the American Counseling Association.

His scholarly works includes 2 books, more than 70 journal articles, and almost 7 million dollars in grants & contracts. His empirical work generally pertains to evidence-based counseling practice with children and adolescents, especially culturally responsive interventions for preK12 students, educators, and related family members who are situated in economically challenged environments.
