Biography
Vahid Taghikhani is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics and Engineering at the University of St. Thomas in Houston, Texas. He is also an Adjunct Professor and Research Scientist at the University of Oklahoma, the Mewbourne College of Earth and Energy and the lecturer of the Natural Gas Engineering and Management program at the University of Oklahoma. He is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at Rice University. He holds his PhD, MSc and BSc all majoring in Chemical Engineering. He was awarded many fellowships from different institutions including the IDB merit scholarship in Research and Technology in 2007 and the Exploratory Scientific Research Visit (ESRV) granted by the British Council in 2004, 2005 and 2006. He has been visiting researcher and scholar at McGill University in Montreal, Canada and the Center for Hydrate Research at Colorado School of Mines in Golden, Colorado. He has published numerous journal articles in the area of applied thermodynamics and flow assurance in peer-reviewed journals and presented at many international scientific conferences. His research interest is in line with multiphase flow and flow assurance, energy transition, hydrogen production and storage and carbon capture and sequestration.
