Biography
Gökhan Yılmaz is a partner at PwC Turkey responsible for Forensics, Compliance and Crisis Management Services. In his 17+ years of professional career, he has held several managerial positions in multinational banks and consultancy firms.
Yılmaz managed numerous projects in different countries on ethics, compliance, fraud investigations, internal audit, internal control, data analytics, and risk management across various industries.
He graduated from Business Administration Department of Marmara University with honor degree, he later completed his master's thesis on the use of computer-assisted audit tools at the same university. He completed his second master's degree in Forensic Psychology and Behavioral Evidence at Uskudar University, Institute of Forensic Sciences under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Sevil Atasoy. He earned his doctorate degree with the thesis on the detection of frauds using big data analytics.
Yılmaz holds Chairman role at International Association of Certified Fraud Examiners / ACFE Turkey Chairman and Audit Committee Chair at Ethics and Reputation Society.
He gave several trainings and seminars on subjects such as Fraud Investigation, Interview and Interrogation Techniques, Ethics and Compliance, Internal Audit and Risk Management, Lie Spotting and Manipulation Techniques.
Yılmaz worked on many research and article studies related to his profession. He holds CFE, CIA, CISA, SMMM, CCSA, CRMA and CME (Certified Metaverse Expert) certificates.
