Biography

Vera R. L. Constantino is Full Professor at Chemistry Institute of Universidade de Sao Paulo (USP), Brazil.
She received her PhD degree in Chemistry from Universidade Estadual Paulista (Unesp-Araraquara) in 1989 and joined USP in 1990.
She conducted her postdoctoral research at Michigan State University (USA) in 1992–1994 working with Prof. Thomas J. Pinnavaia on the reactivity of layered double hydroxides. She was Academic Visitor at School of Chemistry, University of Bristol, United Kingdon (2015-2016). She is Associate Editor of New Journal of Chemistry (RSC) and member of the Editoral Borad of Applied Clay Science (Elsevier).
Her research interests include synthesis of layered materials, intercalation chemistry, clay minerals, layered double hydroxides, layered niobates, exfoliation process, hybrid materials, organic-inorganic nanocomposites, and drug delivery systems.
