Biography

Gabriela MARCHIS is member of Romanian Regional Science Association (RRSA); member of European Regional Science Association (ERSA) and member of Regional Science Association International (RSAI).
In 2002, she graduated the Faculty of Economics and in 2006, she obtained a Master's degree on Financial Management and Public Administration.
In 2009 she obtained her PhD in Cybernetics and Economic Statistics, under the Academy of Economic Studies from Bucharest, with the thesis: The Impact of EU Enlargement on Regional Strategies and Policies. The Role of the Structural Funds.
Her academic career was developed at “Danubius” University of Galati where, since 2013, she is Associate Professor at the Faculty of Economics and also the Quality Management Representative, occupying the post of Director of the Quality Assurance Department.
Since 2009, she has been the coordinator of the European Documentation Center - EuroInfoGhid under the direction of the European Commission: DG COMM, Brussels.
