Biography

I am a historian, archaeologist, and specialist in Ancient History, focusing on the cultural, political, and social dynamics of the Mediterranean world. I currently serve as an Associate Professor at Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa, Hasan Ali Yücel Faculty of Education.

In recent years, I have been a team member in the Kastabos Excavation and have also concentrated on surface surveys in Giresun. My research in these projects aims to develop interdisciplinary approaches to understanding the architectural and cultural heritage of ancient sacred sites and settlements.

Archaeological Studies: Excavations and surface surveys in Kastabos and the Giresun region.
Ancient Greek and Roman History: Leadership, social structures, and cultural transformations in the Greek and Roman worlds.
Museum Education: Enhancing the modern understanding of cultural heritage through innovative museum education practices.
Academic Contributions: My work bridges the disciplines of history, archaeology, and education, striving to make ancient civilizations more accessible and engaging for contemporary audiences. I am also committed to developing educational models that strengthen the cultural awareness and sense of identity among students and educators.
