Biography

Amabilly holds a bachelor's degree in international relations from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, and a master's degree in political science from the University of Montreal, Canada. She is currently a doctoral candidate at UdeM. As part of her thesis, she is studying South-South cooperation and science diplomacy in Brazil and South Africa from a comparative perspective. Amabilly was also an assistant in the organization of the 2023 and 2024 CÉRIUM summer school on science diplomacy. In 2023, she participated in the pilot training on science diplomacy, FORMHYDS, a training program in science diplomacy in French, intended for early-career professionals working in the field of science and international relations and between August and October 2024, Amabilly was a visiting doctoral student in the Department of Political Science at the University of Pretoria (South Africa), for a research fieldwork.
