Biography
David N. Kenigsberg, MD, FACC, FHRS is a clinical cardiac electrophysiologist practicing in South Florida since 2007. He is a founding member of Florida Heart Rhythm Specialists, a practice that provides advanced, high-quality electrophysiology services to northern Broward County. He specializes in the treatment of complex arrhythmias including atrial fibrillation and ventricular tachycardia as well as device implantation, employing the latest in clinically proven technologies and therapies.
Dr. Kenigsberg received his Bachelor of Science degree and his Medical Degree from the University of Miami in the prestigious six-year Honors Program in Medical Education. Subsequently, he performed his residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital. Dr. Kenigsberg then went on to cardiology fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan, where he served as the Chief Cardiology Fellow. Finally, he completed his training in a two year electrophysiology fellowship at Virginia Commonwealth University/Medical College of Virginia in Richmond. Dr. Kenigsberg is currently Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology.
Dr. Kenigsberg is the medical director of the electrophysiology laboratory at Westside Regional Medical Center in Plantation, Florida. His academic roles include serving as a Voluntary Assistant Professor of Medicine, University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Division of Cardiology at Nova Southeastern University, and a Clinical Preceptor for the Master of Science in Physician Assistant Program at Keiser University.
He has published many scholarly articles in peer reviewed journals and lectures internationally on atrial fibrillation. He currently proudly sits on the board of directors of the Broward County Medical Association, the Florida Chapter of the American College of Cardiology and the Holocaust Education and Documentation Center.
