Biography

Daniel S. Kaster is a professor with the Computer Science Department of the University of Londrina, Parana, Brazil, since 2001. He received the BSc degree in Computer Science from the University of Londrina, Brazil (1998), the MSc degree in Computer Science from the University of Campinas, Brazil (2001) and PhD in Mathematics and Computer Sciences at University of São Paulo at Sao Carlos, Brazil (2012). Worked as a Visiting Professor/Post-Doc in the Data Systems Group of the University of Waterloo, Canada (2019-2020). He has experience in Computer Science, focusing on Databases, acting on the following subjects: multimedia and spatiotemporal databases, indexing and optimization of similarity queries, trajectory data mining, content-based image retrieval and data cleaning.
