Biography
Ahmad Fasseeh BPharm MIBA PhD graduated from the University of Alexandria with a bachelor’s degree in pharmaceutical sciences and completed the Health Economics postgraduate diploma program at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport. Has been working at Syreon Research Institute since January 2014 as a health economist in the health economic modelling department. Also, he holds a master’s degree in international business administration from École Supérieure Libre des Sciences Commerciales Appliquées (ESLSCA), with a major in global management. Furthermore, he has a Ph.D. in health economics from Eötvös Loránd University, Faculty.
Ahmad has been a driver of HTA implementation initiatives in Egypt and the Middle East region for a decade. He contributed to teaching health economics at several universities. He also led and contributed to health policy shaping research projects starting with the HTA implementation roadmap in Egypt and other countries in the region, setting the cost-effectiveness thresholds in Egypt, multi-criteria decision analysis tool for tendering different health technologies. Ahmad is a co-founder of the Egyptian Association for Health Economics (EAHE), which gathers almost all high-level stakeholders, and it aims to increase awareness about the role of HTA in decision-making and to provide policy recommendations based on scientific research and the consensus of multiple stakeholders.
