Biography

I'm a graduate in Physics and my PhD is in Science and Engineering of Materials, finished in 2013. Actually I'm Pos-Doc researcher at University of Minho. My research area is in polymeric composites based on thermoplastic and elastomer matrices with exceptional mechanical properties as large strains and composites with carbon nanoallotropes to provide functional properties to an insulator matrix for device integration. The main goal of my recent works is electroactive polymers for energy harvesting generation devices, to apply as renewable energy sources in alternative to fossil fuels. Also, functional piezoresistive and piezoelectric polymers have been tailored for ink formulations and additive manufacturing processing.
