OTHER INFORMATION:
I am passionate about improving research in the field of advanced endoscopy. My interests have centred largely around the theory and application of in-vivo diagnostic techniques in the upper and lower gastrointestinal tract. I was part of the BADCAT multidisciplinary taskforce investigating the diagnosis and management of high grade dysplasia within Barrett’s. I am currently part of a task force developing the ESGE guidelines for the application of in-vivo diagnostic techniques in the detection and evaluation of colonic polyps. I am also conducting research into improving techniques of endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR) and endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD).
I peer review for most of the main gastroenterology journals and present frequently in many of the world gastroenterology conferences.
Outside of research I enjoy playing the piano and have a weakness for Lotus sports cars!
