Biography
Mara Luiza Gonçalves Freitas is an accomplished business consultant and advisor, specializing in small and medium-sized enterprises. She is also a university lecturer, researcher, forensic financial expert, and a dedicated student in multiple courses. Currently, she provides consultancy services to various companies in the West of São Paulo State. Her previous role was at the Brazilian Micro and Small Business Support Service (SEBRAE) as a local innovation agent. During her tenure of 26 months, she delivered services to 125 companies, accumulating a total of 3,125 technical consulting hours.
Ms. Freitas is presently pursuing a Doctoral Program in Agribusiness and Development at the São Paulo State University "Júlio de Mesquita Filho" (UNESP), a bachelor's degree in Data Science at the Virtual University of the State of São Paulo (UNIVESP), and specialization courses in Digital Marketing at the Leonardo Da Vinci University Center. This year, she is furthering her expertise in forensic financial analysis while continuing her advisory role.
With over 15 years of experience in higher education, Ms. Freitas has an extensive academic background. She is an accounting technician from the State School Dr. Guilherme Freitas de Abreu Lima in Mato Grosso State and holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the Federal University of Mato Grosso. Additionally, she earned a Master of Business Administration from the Federal University of Lavras. She specializes in Public Account Management at Estácio de Sá University and in several other fields including Teaching in Higher Education, Data Science, Controllership, Public Finance, and Fiscal Policy and Public Administration at Leonardo da Vinci University Center.
Ms. Freitas served as a lecturer at the Federal Institute of São Paulo on the Presidente Epitácio campus, where she taught technical subjects such as Finance, Accounting, Financial Mathematics, Quantitative Methods, Statistics, and Probability in the Business Administration Technical course. In Public Administration university courses, she primarily instructed on Government Accounting, Government Audit, and Public Finance. She has notable experience coordinating administrative courses and managing protocols for the Ministry of Education and Culture concerning the authorization and recognition of higher education courses. Her responsibilities have included implementing processes for technical compliance with National Course Exam standards, facilitating mandatory supervised internships, restructuring junior companies, and promoting extension activities like small and medium-sized events. Her research focuses mainly on Public Security, Homeland Security, Criminal Agriculture, and Public Finance.
