Biography

I am a Canada Research Chair and Associate Professor at the University of Western Ontario (Western University). My research and teaching focuses broadly on Roman Archaeology, while my publications are primarily in the sub-fields of Roman provinces and frontiers, Roman military studies, women in the Roman world, ancient leather technologies, archaeological leather and shoes. I'm very interested in issues around colonialism and imperialism and the differing results of Roman conquest around the empire.
