Biography

Guomin Ji is an Associate Professor at Department of Manufacturing and Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, NTNU Gjøvik.

He is a researcher with a broad background in civil engineering, oil and gas, offshore wind power and fish farming, specialized in sustainable and environmental friendly construction materials, offshore slender structures (riser and power cable), advanced dynamic analysis of structures (fatigue life assessment), combined optimization design and life cycle analysis, and numerical simulation and digital twin of construction. Before joining NTNU, he was a senior research scientist at SINTEF Ocean, Norway. Guomin holds a PhD in structural engineering specialized in integrity of massive concrete construction (2008), and MSc in civil engineering (1997).
