Biography

Before joining Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University in Suzhou, China, as an Associate Professor of Practice in Educational Development at the Academy of Future Education, I was previously employed as a Dental Technology academic, researcher, and practitioner in the Dental Sciences department at the Durban University of Technology, Durban, South Africa. My research interests include undergraduate research, scholarship, and creative inquiry, internationalising the curriculum through virtual exchanges such as Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL), curriculum design and development, assessment practices such as Specifications Grading, and innovative pedagogies such as game-based teaching and learning. I have delivered numerous papers, workshops, and seminars on the above interests in various national and international settings.
