Cristina Plaza-Lara

Biography

Cristina holds a Translation and Interpreting degree from the University of Málaga in English and German (2008). She was also granted a Master's degree in Translation, Cultural Mediation and Interpreting. She received her Ph.D. in Translation and Interpreting from the University of Málaga in July 2014. She wrote her doctoral thesis about the training of computer aided translation tools. She is presently Production Manager at Nóvalo, developing translation, edit and coordination tasks in the technical and scientific area using English and German as working languages. She is also lecturer at the Translation and Interpreting Department at the University of Malaga. She teaches translation of specialised texts in German and Spanish. Her fields of interest are mainly translation training and new technologies.
