Biography
Basma Hamed Marghani is Professor of Physiology, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, King Salman International University, South Sinai, Egypt. Basma obtained her PhD in Physiology’ from Mansoura University, Egypt, in 2014. Guest researcher at the University of Veterinary Medicine, Hannover, Germany, 2015. She has about seventeen years of teaching experience. She has published more than 35 international publications and one international book. Her research interests include studying the underlying mechanisms of several diseases, such as cerebral ischemia, chronic kidney diseases, chronic heart diseases, benign prostate hyperplasia, prostate cancer, hepatic toxicity, and diabetes mellitus, as well as novel strategies for the treatment of diseases such as immunotherapy, gene knockdown, photothermal ablation of hyperplastic tissues and cancerous cells, and regenerative medicine with mesenchymal stem cells. She has experience in hematological and biochemical analyses, real-time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR), enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELIZA) technique, flow cytometry, isolation, expansion, and characterization of mesenchymal stem cells.
