Cecília Leite Oliveira

Biography

Director of Brazilian Institute of Information in Science and Technology (Ibict). Graduated Full Degree in Literature from the University of Brasilia(1977), master's degree in Information Sciences from the University of Brasilia (1996) and Ph.D. in Information Sciences from the University of Brasilia(2003). Attended the Formative Instance held in the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport of Spain Program (Puntos de Información Cultural - PIC). In 2002, the she research developed a methodology for digital inclusion for social inclusion (Digital Integrated School - EDI) was the first academic work at the University of Brasilia, which became LAW 3275 the Government of the Federal District, making its use mandatory in public education. This methodology is internationally recognized and awarded.

Researcher at EMBRAPA Information Technology career since 2002, she was assigned to the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MCTI) to act as General Coordinator of Research and New Products Development (CGPD) at Brazilian Institute of Information in Science and Technology (Ibict) until 2013, when she was became Director of this institute.

Dr Cecilia Leite has experience in the area of information science, the use of new technologies (ICT) for informational solution in the various fields of activity Information Science, especially on the following topics: information science, digital inclusion, management information, social inclusion, knowledge management and innovation.
