Biography
Naira Harutyunyan is a practical psychologist specialized in education and developmental psychology. She teaches developmental psychology and general psychology at the Faculty of Education Psychology and Sociology of ASPU, as well psychology in English in European University of Armenia. As a junior researcher she has an experience of study teachers` personal and professional competencies in the Psychology Scientific-Research Laboratory, in which she developed questionnaires and focus groups with teachers and other stakeholders. About a decade she was a school psychologist at high school where she was also responcible for managing trainings with learners and parents on issues of parenting, life skills and professional orientation. She has been involved in a number of research projects, in particular on the issues of diagnosis and classification of psychological problems. At the same time, she is pursuing her doctoral research on the topic of social expectations and goal-setting.
