Biography
Degree in natural sciences
More than 25 years experience in management, research and technological innovation on disinfection, especially in ozone applications ranging from defense (bioterrorism) to the food industry.
I realized research projects with many top level research center in Italy (CNR, IAMB, ENEA; University of Turin, University of Verona) and other national and international research centre on the applications of ozone and other disinfectants (in particular electrolyzed waters) in the food industry and water treatment.
Scientific coordinator, coordinating and developing methodologies and guidance of several research projects since 2002 (TECHNE PROJECT Course Equal, code IT-G-PUG-0057); in the various projects I have also coordinated and managed activities of data analysis, literature searches and methodological assistance.
In Industrie De Nora I collaborate in the development of disinfection technologies relating to water and wastewater treatment in particular concerning disinfection against different kind of contamination (in particular chemical and biological).
Since 2016 I am member of the scientific committee of the Polo Agrifood (Turin-Italy).
As Leader WG Health and Public Health of Water Europe Association I’m working on exposome and in particular on risks related to pollutants in the environmental media and other biological factors which may have a negative impact on health and the environment, in particular in relation to water and air quality.
Mentor activities in De Nora Idea Challenge (an idea call to start-ups and other stakeholders within the water and wastewater treatment industry) and in EIT Food InnoWise Scale project.
